Apostle Sharon D. Walker, affectionately known as “Mother” to all her spiritual sons and daughters, became a believer in Jesus Christ at age nineteen. She did not begin experiencing a true relationship with God until she was much older. Her story does not come with the usual boasts of academic grandeur, organizational affiliations, or celebrity connections. No. Her story, boasts of being a WITNESS to the POWER of God; which has brought her into a place she never believed she could be. In 1986, Apostle Walker was called by the Lord Jesus to preach in the middle of being kidnapped. Once baptized in the Holy Ghost, she grew rapidly. The Lord became her Professor and He taught her His ways and statutes. Apostle learned early in her walk that it is not enough to be gifted. A gift will get a person through the door, but only wisdom, humility, and a consecrated life can keep them there. The Lord schooled her in life through His Word and promoted her spiritually from glory to glory and faith to faith through the countless trials and tribulations she has endured. She had a great appetite for His Word and began to pray and study 8-10 hours a day. She pursued hard after God to learn His ways. By doing so, she came to understand that it is far more rewarding to minister to God than minister for Him. Apostle Walker preached her first sermon in 1990 and the weight of God’s glory has continuously increased upon her life. It is priceless and cannot be compared to anything this world has to offer. For over 39 years, Apostle Walker has been running in the reality of that Call. She has traveled both nationally and internationally ministering the Doctrine of the Father, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She joyfully oversees ministries in Kampala, Uganda and Nakuru, Kenya. She has covenant relationships with apostolic leadership in the Philippines, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and London, England. In 2009, Apostle Walker and her late husband, Prophet Larry T. Walker, Jr., responded to the Lord’s request to begin their ministry, Carriers of the Glory International Ministries, in Tallahassee, Florida. Since then, she has been working diligently to raise up an army unto the Lord; a people who will uphold a standard of godly living in today's society. Apostle Walker’s mission is to utilize these last seconds of God’s heavenly time clock to draw as many back to Jesus Christ as possible before His return. She is careful with the hearts and lives of God’s people and handles each person according to their needs. Apostle Walker is the Owner and CEO of Emerging Glory TV LLC, a multimedia company, author of, “Holy Ghost Thou Art Loosed...The Chains Are Off,” and Executive Producer/Creator of the “Apostle Sharon Walker- Live” Podcast airing live every Thursday @ 8pm on YouTube. She is passionate about the things of God and strives to please the Lord in everything she does. She has a natural family that consists of five children (four sons and one daughter), 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. One of her sons was carried into glory through a most horrific murder on July 10, 2021. He was 34 years old. In December 2024, Apostle’s husband of over 24 years, Prophet Larry T. Walker, Jr., unexpectedly passed away under the most tragic of circumstances. He was her No.1 supporter, confidant, love, and friend. Through this most difficult time, Apostle Walker has stood firm in the Lord and maintained her confidence in Him. While neither she or her congregation was ready for nor expected such a loss, the Lord in His perfect will did. She has leaned on the Lord for peace and strength and has found comfort in knowing Prophet Larry is with the Lord in Glory. In the face of adversity she has chosen to stay on the path God has set before her and to keep her eyes on Him. Her faith has increased, not decreased. Her roots have grown deeper and not more shallow. She is determined to continue contending for the faith, standing tall through it all, and telling others about the faithfulness of God.
